Jordan Banjo, born on December 31, 1992, is a British street dancer. He is famous for being a member of the dance group Diversity, who won the third season of the show Britain’s Got Talent. Jordan, along with his fellow Diversity member Perri Kiely, co-hosts the KISS weekday breakfast show.
Family
His father, Funso Banjo, is from Nigeria and used to be a professional boxer. His mother, Danielle Banjo, is English and used to be a ballet dancer. She now helps manage Diversity and runs Danceworks Studios. Jordan grew up in Wickford, Essex with his older brother, Ashley, and their sister, Talisa.
He was in a relationship with his childhood friend, Jesy Nelson, who is a singer in the group Little Mix. Jordan had previously attended SEEVIC College.
Career
Before 2007, Jordan Banjo was part of a dance group called Swift Moves Juniors, along with his fellow Diversity members Sam Craske and Warren Russell.
Since 2007, Jordan has been a member of the dance troupe Diversity. They formed in 2007 and won the third season of the show Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.
Jordan Banjo, along with his fellow Diversity member Perri Kiely, became backstage presenters for the fourth season of Got to Dance in 2013.
In 2013, Jordan Banjo, along with his fellow Diversity member Perri Kiely, became backstage presenters for the TV show Got to Dance. During that summer, they had their own show called Jordan and Perri’s Ultimate Block Party, where they turned places like clubs and youth clubs into dance groups.
They were chosen to be the hosts for the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
In 2018, he presented behind-the-scenes for Dancing on Ice. The next year, he started co-hosting The Greatest Dancer with Alesha Dixon.
In 2021, Jordan appeared as Viper on The Masked Dancer and was the first celebrity to be unmasked.
In 2023, he came in second place in I’m a Celebrity… South Africa.
