Olivia Thirlby was born on October 6, 1986, in New York City. Her mom worked in advertising and her dad was a contractor. She grew up in Manhattan’s East Village and went to Friends Seminary school. She also attended arts programs at French Woods Festival and Usdan Center. Thirlby took acting classes at the American Globe Theatre and even studied stage combat in London.
